ohta office building
The Ohta office building is a very small building (think 4 parking spaces small) located next to an elevated superhighway. The challenge was to create an engaging image to pedestrians as well as automobile traffic yet minimize the noise of the highway while providing for natural light and views. A rear facing service block is rendered in metallic tile, while the office block is built of exposed, polished concrete to create a dynamic exterior image that clearly symbolizes the internal organization of the plan.
